Open to youth ages 7 through 16.
About the Program
Creative Karate is a Martial Arts and Sport Karate program centered around character development, peer mentorship targeting all youth ages 7 through 16. This program helps with exercise, life skills, self-defense, communication skills, organization, accountability, teamwork, along with peer mentorship, while teaching you the culture of honor and respect towards others. The participants will learn to do katas, sport karate, how to say various defenses in Japanese, as well as various workouts.
Directions to Land in Black Hands
Coming from uptown Kingston: Take Wilbur Ave. toward Abeel St. and turn right on Chapel St.
Coming from downtown Kingston: Take Abeel St. to Wilbur Ave. and turn left onto Chapel St.
Continue up Chapel St. until you pass the yellow diamond DEAD END sign.
Approximately 100 meters past the sign, veer left — away from the PRIVATE sign — and drive up the gravel driveway. Continue until you reach the KLT sign, then veer right.
Driveway Safety Guidelines
Ensure safe, respectful use of the property.
- Drive no faster than 10 mph anywhere on the property.
- The driveway is single-lane; if you meet another vehicle, be prepared to carefully reverse to allow passing.
- Remain patient and courteous with other drivers.
- Watch closely for children, pedestrians, volunteers, and visitors.
- Stay on the driveway at all times — no driving or parking on the grass.
- Park only in designated areas or where directed by staff.
